Planning my big adventure into the mountains for 2 weekends from now. Checking the tent and gear. Going to buy the appropriate maps today and get train tickets on Friday. Sooooooooooooo exciting - don't know if the dog is all that excited about it though. Working late tonight but the weather is fantastic so it will be good.

Spoke to big bro' last night and he is home and recuperating as well as can be expected. He has to take it easy for a few months and then they will decide if he needs surgery. Hopefully all will go well. Feeling really lonely these days what with B and the kids in Derry and me stuck here with the bloody norskies.
At least the weather is nice and I'm keeping myself busy painting the outside of the house. It's a bit on the high side but I have fastened the ladder with a rope and me to the ladder.

My older brother had a heart attack last week. He will be fine but he is only 6 years older than me. He has lived a hard life, but still it makes one think a bit more seriously about ones health. Off to the gym now and then on for a low calorie dinner. Nah to hell with it fish and chips is better.

Wife has gone to Ireland for a few weeks with the 2 wee ones. Feeling lonely.
