Just had a mate of mine look at the computer as it was going soooooo slow. Result is all working quicker, not quite sure I understand how but as long as it works. Read this on bbc website. Facinating to think that these people may yet exist, however unlikely it is. All sorts of moral questions come to mind about our arrogance in relation to the way we treat animals. I am a meat eater and always will be, but it is a facinating topic to debate. Many have the idea that animals are here just to serve our purposes in terms of meat/sport/companionship. Perhaps they are here for their own purposes and we are ONLY a part of the big picture and not ALL of the big picture.

Some of you may know a mate of mine called Pierre. Well, he spent 6 months on Pitcairn and it seems that he was mates with some of these people. How good mates they were I don't know. He claims to have had no knowledge that this went on and I believe him. I don't think these people should get away with it on a question of whether or UK has sovereignty over them. Wrong is wrong, whoever runs the bloody island.

Have been feeling a bit iffy lately and went to the docs yesterday. Result is she put me off for a week so that I can relax and chill out for a while. I am virtually the king of stress and it has caught up with me. Need to get back into the gym and become more active to try and beat the winter blues. I feel so much better physically and mentally when I am training regularily. Going to play squash with Nathan tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that.
Ruth has started clay pigeon shooting and is loving it as she is so good at it.

Ruth is off clay pigeon shooting again tonight - she loves it. Don't know if it is such a good idea for a teenager to have a gun to play with though. she is a member of a fritidsgruppe or youth group set up by the local authorities to keep kids away from drugs and drink. She has so far been climbing, walking and this is her second time shooting.
Went to the docs today and I have been put on the sick until next Thursday. Hopefully feeling better by then.

Had a nice evening last night. We bought a nice bottle of wine and B. and I watched "Hot shots part deux". Then a mate of mine, that I occasionally help with his work, rang and invited me on a Christmas tour to Denmark, all expenses paid. Do you think I said yes? The boat sails on the 18th Nov. Looking forward to it should be good craic.

EUREKA! Have now sussed out how to get the pics downsized. I have the Swedish version of adobe photoalbum and that works fine for me except I have the free mini-version and this does not allow downsizing. BUT I can email the pics to myself stipulating the size I want DAdaaaaaaaaaaaa. Well chuffed.

Feeling horrible today so I'm at home. Mixture of severe headaches/tummy and huge doses of stress, although which of them is the worst I am not so sure. Weather is appalling today too so it's not such a bad idea to be indoors. Put the wedding pic of Shona and Kenan into the local newspaper (haven't managed to get the link to work properly but it is there somewhere). Going to have another go with uploading these bloody photo's of mine.

Having a very relaxing and lazy Sunday afternoon. Just lit the fire and am now on the way to the tellytubbies web site for Roisin (honest). Planning some nice lamb for dinner. Looking forward to it.

Managed to sleep off the hangover and we now have the grandchildren for the evening as Shona and Helen have gone to a friends for a night out. She phones every 15 minutes just to make sure we can manage! Shitty weather so we are just taking it easy.

Been trying yet again to download some pics but I can't seem to get them resized. Have been looking on the net for a suiable freebie that will do the job but to no avail. Ah well will keep trying. Shona got married in Istanbul on the 6th so I want to upload their wedding pics.

Ouch! Suffering from the mother of all hangovers. Had a night out with the boys last night and I now remember why I stopped drinking beer. Had a good time and a laugh. It will be a while before the next time so it was worth it.

Well here I am again. Not lost at sea after all. Have had a bit of a break for various reasons, not the least of which is the shortening days. Amazing how much it can affect the moods. Have started going to the sun beds now and again and thinking of investing in an artificial sun lamp for the house so that I can read the paper and drink my morning coffee in the sunshine.
