Baby sitting tonight. The car is buggered and we were thinking about selling it. Now we will just sell the bloody thing to get rid of it. Don't know how much we'll get for it though. Bit of a shitty day altogether.

All chuffed. Just re-formatted the hard drive and re-installed everything in Norwegian. How good is that? Computer is now up and running well.

Really glad that today is Friday. Came home to an empty house so I am now going to have a cuppa and a doze on the sofa. Feeling a bit run down. Feel like the cold is beginning on me. Hope not but I'm going to take it easy anyway.

I'll try this one more time.
The computer is still playing silly buggers. We are going to empty the thing and re-install the original settings. Hope it works. My mate Carlos managed to get it up and running (or hobbling to be exact), so we managed to copy all of the important files to cd.
We are on a super efficient saving spree at the moment. We have decided to move back to Ireland as soon as ever possible and that means that the luxuries go so that we can repay our loans on the car etc.. The internet is going and so are the rest of the other things that we seem to think of as necessities.
We have even cancelled our summer hols to Crete. B. and the two youngest will be going to Ireland for 6 weeks in the summer. I will stay here and work extra to help with the finances. We feel that our daughter would benefit greatly from her extended stay in Ireland and so , as is often the case and rightly so, our needs/wants come second. B. is more than thrilled to being home for such a long time.
I will take myself and the dog up into the high mountains for a couple of long weekends to see the reindeer, wolverine, lynx, beaver and so on. There have been rumours that bears are back and definite recorded sightings of wolves again so it is all very exciting.

Managed to get a bloody virus and have destroyed the computer. Don't worry all safe now. Computer has been fixed but the internet connection is dodgy. Going to have to delete everything and start from new. Postings will be therefore affected by this. Sorry:-(((

Have been a bit irregular with the postings. Promise to do better but the days are just rushing by with indecent haste.

Have taken the day off today to rest the leg and attend many (too many) meetings with schools and health services etc. Also went to see someone about a weekend job so I hope to get it but we'll see what happens he said he'd ring later. Fabulous weather here with snow lying and powder blue skies. B. and I sat out and had lunch on the terrace, cold but nice.
Off now to another bloody meeting :-(

Just been for a very enjoyable grandfatherly type stroll (or in my case hobble). B. and I took the two wee ones out to the local lake to see the ducks and then a stroll to the garden centre. We had a very nice time but the two of them slept from the minute they got into the pram - typical. Never mind there will be other times. Going to relax this evening and watch the TV. I have nothing to read, which is very bad news for me as I am a compulsive reader.

After the lovely weather of yesterday and getting out the garden furniture, it bloody snowed all night and is still at it.! Need to go and dig it out now.

Lovely weather here today. Spent some time tidying up the terrace and sitting in the sun with a cuppa and B. Lit the Chiminea and had a nice time until the sun went behind the mountain and then it was bloody cold.

Applied for a new job today. Whole hassle to get everything ready for posting today. They require al sorts of info and copies of certificates etc. It is an environmental consultant to one of the coastal councils, it is an exciting job but I've learned not to get my hopes up. The best chance is to get an interview and prove to them that I can speak Norwegian. They have a tendency to just write people of foreign extraction off. We'll see what happens. Trouble is I speak and write Bokmal Norwegian but they speak and write Nynorsk. Difference in spelling and pronunciation but basically the same, just a bit awkward sometimes.

Got good news from the doc. Have not done any permanent damage to my knee. But I've "bruised" the bone and that will take a wee bit of time. I'm off the rest of this week and back at work 50% next week. Went shopping and bought 2 very nice Begonias. Excitement is tooooo much.
Hopefully back on the skis in a couple of weeks :-)
