Well the time is really dragging by now. Can't wait for B to come home.
Was offered a weekend in the islands by my old boss and his wife but it is really awkward as they are not getting along. It will be just the three of us in a small cabin. He has a drink problem and I really don't want to be stuck out there whilst they fight their way through the weekend. On a lighter note I am now on 3 weeks hols and planning to go away to the mountains a bit nearer to home than the last time for 3 days starting tomorrow or Thursday. Have been walking every day more or less and have covered most if not all of the mountains around our village by now. So have to go a bit further afield. Turned into a bit of a munro bagger it seems although few of them are over 1000m. Grandson Veli has now woken and sitting on my lap so gotta go be grandad.

Forgot to say Shona and bambinos home safe on Friday. All well and staying with me for a few days. Yippppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

All change again on the blogger front. Anyway what a weekend!!! I have tried to put in new pics so hopefully all goes well. Feet are sore legs ache but by god was it worth it.

Weather is clearing up for the weekend so it's al systems go. Hope the only part of the "wilder" animals I see is their behind. Should be good though spent last night poring over the maps. This is where I'm going. Walking up from Kinsarvik to Stavali hytte.

Spent hours last night getting the camping gear ship-shape and Bristol fashion. Put up the tent for airing and then went in hunt of my 70L. rucksack. Guess what? It went to Ireland with them. So rang around and managed to borrow one. Carried on with the organising and came in to the living room only to find out the dog is in season again. She was supposed to be my co-pilot. Sort of screwed things up but I'm determined to get away from it all this weekend. So I guess I'll take the chance and take her with me.
Spoke to Shona yesterday and it is all going ok and they all adore the kids (of course they do). Spoke to B as well and she is a wee bit stressed but is high up in the hills of Offally so she will just have to calm her jets.

Spent the whole weekend hillwalking, average of 5 hours walking per day and then home to painting the bannisters. Sounds hectic but it was, funnily enough, very relaxing. Training for the big trip into the mountains.

I asked why I was not short listed for the job and this is the reply i got "James was not selected for two reasons: In terms of degree (Ph.D.) he is overqualified, and in terms of background (no aquaculture) he is underqualified".
Can't really argue with that can you? Would still have liked an interview. Shona, Kenan and babies went to Turkey today. Bit of a moist send-off :-(

Shona goes to Turkey on Friday with her partner and kids. Not the best idea in the world but there you go. She seems to be pretty well organised and her aunt is going with her to keep an eye on her. Hopefully all will go well.

Mood a bit better today. Was in the gym for over 2 hours last night getting rid of aggressin and today I feel better but wasted.
Friday night and skint. What a life eh. Going to buy a cuppa coffee. Cheap flights to Haugusund now with ryanair. Oh well going back to "work".
