Wednesday, February 15, 2006 [] ![]() Wow what a day! Went to Islay for the first time and had a wonderful meeting and then a quick tour and on the boat home. Going on the 2nd march for 2 days. Hope big bro' will be with. Here's a pic showing the distance between Islay and Jura Monday, February 13, 2006 [] I've managed to catch the cold. I spent the day in Dunoon and on Bute for various meetings. One of them was really strange as "A" was really very keen to begin with a new project with a potential worth of £250k. As soon as I started outlining the way forward and the possibilities he took a step back and seemed less keen. Almost as if he was comfortable with it when it was a pipe dream. Strange that. I had a meeting with acouncilorr in Dunoon as well and he kept reminding me that he was theBritish welterweight champion in '52. Nothing to do with the job he wanted us to do but he was keen to tell us so we listened. Pay day tomorrow - yippeeee. Going to take the lad skiing in Glenshee I think on Saturday. Saturday, February 11, 2006 [] ![]() I took this pic of Arran when B. was her last week. Not bad eh! [] Jura.Gosh. Where have I been this last while? I seem to have lost track of time. B. has been here for just over a week so we had lots of time together and I took some time off work so that we could tour the area a wee bit too. She was much better than she had been and it was good for the boy too that his mum was here for his birthday. Ruth managed well without her mum and was looked after by a neighbour. My bro' has complained about the "Next Blog" link on my blog. He says there are some very naughty blogs and of course he just has to click on this link!! I've been really busy at work and have managed to get a substantial amount of work done. I'm currently travelling the entire county doing PDR's, which are a sort of interview with employees to see what they would like in the future in terms of training and support. I'm really enjoying it. Bad bit of it is that it involves a LOT of driving and I've managed to aggrevate my sciatic nerve so getting in and out of the car kills me. Anyway, I took some nice pics of Jura and the Antrim coast on the way to work yesterday am. Nathan and I went to see Eduardo Niebla in the Weepicturehouse in Campbeltown yesterday. He's a classical flamenco guitarist and it was spellbinding. He was accompanied by an Indian who played the wee drums that they play - name escapes me. It was a marriage made in heaven, two things I would have never thought could be combined gave such power to the music. ![]() As an aside, when were waiting in the Queue there were some wee lads waiting for the star. One of them asked who Aerodon Nebula was. Made me laugh. Antirm coast in distance |
