Sunday, January 28, 2007 [] For obvious reasons (last post) my weight hasn't gone down much this week but the good news is that it is going down - fluctuating but going in the right direction. Spent the day spring cleanin my HUGE flat and putting my feet up. Now well relaxed and content. Going to have a cuppa and watch Stargate. Thursday, January 25, 2007 [] I managed to tear the ligaments in my ankle and chip the bone on Monday night. I was out running and was blinded by a car and went over on the kerb. I did a stunt roll and ended up having to walk (hobble) over a mile home. I couldn't drive so i rang NHS24 and followed their instructions. The swelling went down a bit and with painkillers I was able to drive to work. It got too bad so I went to casualty for Xrays just in case. So I now have a blue foot and I'm having to lay off the training for a couple or three weeks. :-( Other news is that Nathan has to wear specs, I'm off to Edinburgh on a weeks course in Feb' and I seem to have sorted out a long running problem I had with a member of staff yippeee. Labels: Who's a clever boy then? Tuesday, January 09, 2007 [] God I'm such a Numpty. I'd been trying to log on for ages before I remembered that I'd had to change my login details once I'd moved to google. I've had a couple of good successes lately. I'm "Aff It" as we say here in Scottyland. I'm back in training and I've managed to get a team together for a 10k for charity. It's part of the Men's Health event held in Glasgow - I'm looking forward to it. I've got about 10kg to lose before the race in June but I've done it before - Ask Dino. I'm watching what I eat and what with the running, no booze (Except Fridays and Saturdays of course) and my walking/climbing I reckon i have a good chance of reaching my target. I've written this down now so there's no going back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tuesday, January 02, 2007 [] Thanks to Niles I'm now able to blog again. I've had some minor problems with it but he's done the deed and it works now. It's been a very quiet season thankfully, but B and I both agree thaty next year will give us some excitement - we may need to make it though! My grandson thought he was learning Backgammon and here's the pic' to prove it. What he did learn was how to throw dice. B and I are hopefully taking a trip to Glencoe tomorrow. I think it may be my first time and it will help give me an impression of the Munroes that I need to Bag. 10 down 200 odd to go. I'm also ticking off the Corbetts as I go along. |
